What is your conclusion regarding the Bosidin Laser Hair Removal device? You 1st demonstrated it I believe in September of 2020. Does it work? And would you recommend it at $340?

When it comes to the home IPL devices, the consumer needs to be aware that these devices are only suitable for so many pulses before they are rendered useless if one even gets any permanency at all, which from my experience it only retards hair growth if it works at all for some. If one is a candidate, professional lasers work great, and the reduction is permanent. If one is motivated to purchase such a device, I would advise you to choose one with a larger spot size such as the one shown in this video, which btw is the biggest I have ever seen for a at home IPL device with a cooling fan?

Additionally, please be sure to use sunscreen and do a test sample when using any of these devices…burns, hypo/hyper-pigmentation do occur. Lastly, if you are a person of colour…STAY CLEAR OF THESE DEVICES!

Just purchased this device with their Christmas discount of $60 off! So cheap! I used the Philips previously and my biggest complaint is that it needs to be in full contact or it won't flash. Looks like this solves it and is much superior! Can't wait for mine. edit: HAPPY NEW YEAR. XD

Hi Kim Happy Hols, can I ask you if you have tested out both the Bosidin and the Tria 4x laser devices? If so which one would you recommend please. I cannot find anything that gives me a definitive answer between the two. Would be grateful for your views 🙏

Really would not recommend the NIRA. Only messed up my skin, specially under the eyes. I also tried it on the marrionette lines, worst decision ever. I already had tried many of these devices, this had been the worst. Everytime, I see it I only get regrets and more regrets. I returned it and bought agaon the Palovia, which is stronger and helps. Unfortunately, it was discontinued only found used one in Ebay. Please, please do not buy the NIRA.

    Ivy Mazzola says:

Hey FYI you are meant to use that hair removal device once a week for the first 8 weeks. See the bottom of page 13 of the user manual, *Recommended Treatment Schedule*:

    "Initial Phase
For the first 4 to 8 treatments, we advise you to use Bosidin once a week to ensure all hairs are treated.

    Touch-up Phase
After the initial treatment phase (4-8 treatments), we recommend touch ups every 4 to 8 weeks, when you see hairs growing back."

    PLEASE EXCUSE MY NERD-DOM BELOW..
For I am just opening my own Bosidin device and am theorizing about the treatment plan myself… 🙂 👇🏼

My understanding is that some subset of hairs enter and leave growth phase every day. So, early on, the sessions aren't that redundant (yet). There are still so many follicles re-starting growth each day, plus the stubborn follicles which remain from your previous treatments…

For example, if cycle of body hair is 200 days, then 0.5% of your body hair is re-entering growth phase EACH DAY. So, every 7 days, you get to flash a a "fresh" 3.5% of follicles (0.5*7=3.5). Plus you get to re-flash stubborn follicles.

    So, let's say….
    A. 25% of hairs are actively in growth phase at any one time (including day 1).
    B. We have that 200 day (28 week) cycle, meaning 3.5% of hairs enter growth phase per week 🤷🏼‍♀️
    C. We treat 1x/wk for 8 weeks. (The "initial treatment phase")

    25 + (0.5*7*8) = 25+28 = 53%

In 8 weeks, you would flash over half your follicles at least once (but an average of 4x) over the "initial treatment phase".

What this means to me: 🤔
It seems you could use this however frequently you want, except for
    1. Managing skin irritation
    2. Conserving the flashes of the device
    3. Diminishing returns for the effort… You will reach a point where you don't see enough hair to bother with the treatment… That's when you enter "touch-up phase", where you wait 4-8 weeks between treatments… Enough time that enough hairs enter the growth phase to be "worth it" to flash away again… Until one day, there are never enough hairs in active growth phase at one time to make hair removal seem worth the effort again. Eg, you are damn near hairless 👌🏼

Anyway, doing the treatment frequently in the beginning will help you reach your goals sooner. That's what I'm getting at. Lol.

I assume that the in-clinic lasers are done every 6 weeks because:
    A. In-clinic treatments are expensive so you really want to wait til you are sure enough "fresh" follicles have joined the growth party to be worth your money.
    B. Their lasers are stronger so fewer follicles will need repeat treatments anyway.

This little home device seems perfect given frequent treatments. Even used frequently, it will take less total time for me than in-clinic treatments… What with transit/waiting rooms/calling for an appointment, etc. And that isn't to mention the money saved.

Thanks for reading if you did

Heya Sweets ~Can you compare the Nira laser to professional laser treatments? U said it was strong…but is it as strong as what a Med spa uses?
Just curious I really wanna get it 🤎

  12. Mary Johnson
    Mary Johnson says:

I just received my BOSIDIN. The instructions clearly state you initially do 8 treatments, one every week. Then a maintenance treatment every 8 weeks. Maybe you already did the 8 initial weekly treatments and you are on maintenance? I quite didnt get it, a bit confusing.

Nancy here. I have the Faustina and I love it. I've been using it for hair removal on the legs for three months, and the hair is almost completely gone. I haven't found the skin rejuvenation to do much of anything. I also have the acne attachment, and it works pretty well..
