Hi Susan! I have a question for you. I’ve attempted double cleansing with a cleansing balm (Albolene) and then a cleanser. Do you have suggestions on how I can take the balm off before going in with my cleanser? I don’t want to use a washcloth because I can’t reuse it and I don’t want to waste cotton pads or toilet paper. Water doesn’t take it off either. Please help!

Umm as far as I've learnt over the years, collagen really have no benefit when applied topically. It cannot be be absorbed by our skin. It's a marketing policy adopted by skincare companies.

Small question: when do you advise using retinol in your routine? I'm gonna be 30 in a few years and my mom's said once u hit 30 your body started to noticeably age – not just appearance but general resilience, energy, etc.

No need to pay for retinol … it’s available by prescription.

Aside from this, three of the best anti-aging products are: a pure silk pillowcase (none of that satin garbage), skinceuticals C+E Ferulic serum for day, and Clarisonic for cleansing. And SPF 50 every single day, rain or shine.

You don’t need much else to have beautiful skin.

Collagen when applied topically to the skin works as a humectant, because the molecules are too big to pénétrate the skin… So it sits actually on the skin and attracts water

You don't use any of the products from beauty by design you received ? I ask because I have been trying to decide to either go with them or the fresh beauty line. No idea which would be best

I'm 19 and kinda starting to freak out about going on my twenties😂 Twenties is all about "you're starting to age and bones get weaker and hair gets thinner etc etc" and I'm just scared that I'm gonna wake up on my birthday and be a raisin

Hey Susan! I’m so glad I’ve found you to learn about skincare. I’ve been binge watching you all weekend haha. I have a question, I’m in 24 & in the military. Could you share some skincare tips for when working late, sleepless nights & on the go easy skincare to reach for? I know makeup wipes are horrible but it’s what I go to for when I’m out training for weeks out of time to just clean my face. Thanks so much!

I'm not sure if you're aware of this but with collagen the molecules are too large to be absorbed topically. it's been proven and something like a collagen serum is a complete marketing ploy. Also even if collagen and was absorbed through the skin the fact that that product is in a clear bottle does not do any favors for it.. the ingredients become nearly ineffective at that point.
