Enjoy my Summer Evening Routine. As usual, this is focused on anti-aging and repair. Honestly, this is my favourite and most effective routine yet. The grouping of products has really worked so well for my skin and the results show, so I’m excited to share with you the products I’m using and enjoying and how/when I use them in my routine!

This is not a tutorial, it is my personal routine which suits my particular skin needs and my personal tastes, so everything I’ve chosen here is purely for my own preference. While this routine, in this order works superbly for my skin, not everyone will necessarily benefit the same way or does everyone need to have these particular products.

As with all my skincare routines, my approach is not a legalistic one. I don’t necessarily follow the instructions that are provided by the brand unless they are actives. I prefer to listen to my skin and do what makes sense to me. I only have 2 rules for layering:

1. Thinnest consistencies to the more viscous ones.
2. Liquid, water-based products before oil-based, creamy ones.

There are also certain actives or ingredients I like to use on my skin right after cleansing before toning. You’ve seen me use my Vitamin C serum before toner in the morning and in this routine, I use the Copper treatment right after cleansing as well. I find those products work much better that way!

Hi Renée, just one question. You used your NIOD Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid 30% AFTER your HYDRATORS (ESSENCE AND TONER). In others video you say you love your vitamin C serum (or peptides serums) right after cleansing, before essences and toners. What's the right thing to do? Thank you!

Off topic but what is your favorite sunscreen that's not greasy after and sinks in well?!! I'm trying to use sunscreen but don't want to spend a bunch of money trying to find a good one! Obsessed with your videos btw!!! 💋💋🙌 I started using an essence and toner watching your videos! Friday I'm buying the sk2 treatment essence kit with the toner lotion & mask! Got a point perk of sk2 and I have been enjoying it!

Helllp 😩I ran out of vitamin c serum and I was using the Cosrx Colab with Charlotte— I’m ready to move on but cant decide between drunk elephants or NIOD’s ascorbic acid serum. Which do you prefer?

Thank you so much for all the content you upload. Recently my skin went crazy dry, dehydrated and inflamed. I didnt know what to do. Then I came across your channel, took your guidance and recommendations, changed my entire skincare routine and only 1 week later, my skin transformed. Thanking you and my newly discovered world of K Beauty. I am never going back:)

Could you possibly suggest 1-3 items to use in the AM and PM routine? i am new to this layering and find this is way too many products to start out with (and purchase!) also any chance you could explain which layers under which? these are so many products for a newbie used to just moisturizing! thanks xxx

I've rewound and watched the retinol part a couple of times and still am not sure of 1 thing–is vitamin C (morning) and retinol (night) too much exfoliation?? Is vitamin C in the morning and a lactic or azelaic acid treatment at night OK?

I use the vitamin c and retinol around my eyes, just not on my eye lids and i have no issues… is that bad? I also use way more drops.of vitamin c, 3/4 drops is not nearly enough for me.

Renee, you are wonderful and thank you for sharing your knowledge! In the Ordinary review video, you mentioned that you were in it for the long haul with the retinoid 2% since it would take a while to see results. I see you've moved on! Did the retinoid 2% end up being OK in the long run? Did you end up sticking with the Pestle & Mortar Superstar Retinol Night Oil (I know, gifted to you) or have you gone back to the Ordinary retinoid 2%?

Renee, I LOVE your videos!!  Thank you!  I have incorporated the NIOD Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid 30% and the Whamisa Organic Flowers Facial Oil into my routine now.  Sadly, I'm now getting small breakouts.  I will take both out and add back in one at a time.  I just wonder if anyone else has experienced this.  Bummer.  Keep up the amazing content.  I so look forward to your videos!
