Leesha, loved this Video! I have a book by Revlon that my Mom bought, it's called "Art Of Beauty" "a workbook that shows you how to look your best" and it's from 1982! I love looking at it a reading the tips, some still hold true today. 😉 I know you'd love to look at it lol you'd get a kick out of it. 😉

I didnt have great luck with my sigma brushes. Im an esthetician and mine fell apart. I wash them properly, did not get barrels wet, laid flat to dry etc. ; but I was disappointed with them. 🙁

I have been pretty thrilled with real techniques brushes they are great quality for the price.

I know you recently mentioned being sick of foundations (sorry!) but I would love a best and worst of foundations! I’ve been on a seemingly endless hunt for a go-to with little luck lately. Even expensive brands can frankly just suck sometimes

I expected Estee Lauder and Ponds, but that's about it. Shiseido shocked me because I've only learned of their existence within the past couple of years, that's pretty crazy!

Vasoline is terrible for your skin. It has no cosmetic benefits and by itself only a barrier product. It mimics the look of moister used skin by giving skin a sheen, but it does not have any hydrating properties itself. It works as a lip balm because it holds moisture in your lips. Similarly it's useful in things like neosporin, because it both holds in the actual medication and acts as a barrier. By itself it doesn't heal and can clog pores and irritate sensitive skin. It is a petrol by product after all. If you want something to help heal small wounds, you're better off with something beeswax based since it doesn't contain all the chemical properties. (Petroleum jelly is a carcinogen. It's a very weak one that's not strong enough to do harm in that respect but still.) I have a friend who makes a raw Shea, beeswax and comfrey balm that I swear by for small injuries and abrasions. It also has cured my excema, and because of that I've informed her that she is never allowed to die. LoL let me know if you want the name, I don't want to come I like an ad on your video.

Such a cool video…loved the history lesson. I honestly didn't realize Vaseline was that old…I still use it too!!! Oh and Pond's cold cream ..ummm…yeah…that stuff takes makeup off like nobody's business!!!!

Fun fact Revlon has a red lipstick that women wore as an “F You” to Hittler because he hated red lipstick. 💄 Finding out about this gave me a great love for red and other bright lipsticks

My grandma, my mom and now I use the original pink oil of olay moisturizer. It works and it works well. I branch out and try new ones but I always come back. There are so many products that have been around forever, and you gave to wonder if it's been around for so long it must work. I love searching these products out

Merle Norman Cosmetics was also started during the Great Depression. Merle made three products in her kitchen that she launched her brand on. Those items items are still sold today! Also USA Made.
