SO CLOSE TO 5K!!! You guys are the best! I hear a giveaway calling my name!!!!! 🙂
A lot of people have asked me to do a video on how I use my oils as well as a hair/skincare routine. Although this isn’t a full blown haircare or skincare routine – it does cover all the basics of my daily routine.

I start my day off with oil pulling. It is known to whiten teeth, freshen breath, prevent gum disease, decrease bloating, clear your skin and much more!
I forgot to mention that at room temperature coconut oil is solid and you want to work your way up to a tablespoon of solid oil (mine is liquid in the video which is why I used several spoonfuls).
I found some great links that can give you some more information on what oil pulling is and how it benefits your body. The last link talks about some of the possible side effects.

I use Coconut Oil for oil pulling and I get it from Trader Joes. It is organic, unrefined and cold-pressed coconut oil. As you can see in the video I’m almost all out! Get it here:

Castor oil is my holy grail for healthy hair. I apply a mask consisting of castor oil and olive oil to my scalp every week and let it sit for minimum 6 hours. Over the past year or so, I have seen a tremendous increase in hair thickness, due to both hair growth and decrease of hair loss. Learn more about the great properties of castor oil:
For a detailed video on how to make this mask watch my previous video:

I mix Castor Oil with Olive Oil and apply it to my scalp. To the rest of my hair, I apply a generous amount of Coconut Oil (you can use any type – even the Parachute brand works great)
This is the castor oil I use:

I use castor oil (the same as above) under my eyes in lieu of an under eye cream. I wish I used it more often because it seriously prevents any and all dryness and also helps to keep fine lines at bay throughout the day. I also apply castor oil under my eyes at night before going to sleep and let it soak in while I sleep.
When applying castor oil to your under eyes, don’t apply too much!! Too much will actually dry out your skin (ironic…) Use a droplet, no more!
I use a combination of oils to moisturize my face. I make my oil in this video and I will also link another video here:
For my facial oils, I use high quality oils from both Pura D’or and OneNaturals.
Check out both companies here:

Argan Oil & Jojoba Oil:

Argan Oil & Rosehip Seed Oil:

I take off my makeup and wash my face using the oil cleansing method. This is exactly what it sounds like – washing your face with oil. I use the same mixture of Castor Oil and Olive oil to do this because it effortlessly brings all the impurities up out of your pores. Since I started oil cleansing, I have not had a single break out – no pimples, no whiteheads! Even during ‘that time of the month’! Read more about oil cleansing here:

When I’m not studying, I’m constantly watching YouTube videos. I love everyone on here and all the different videos they put up! With vet school being so stressful, I wanted a new hobby (aka YouTube) so I figured why not go for it?!

Hi 😊 I just started oil pulling with organic coconut oil, its been a week so far. While I'm swooshing around my mouth, my salivating. Alot of my saliva is mixed with the oil. I prefer not to salivate. So is this normal? 15 to 20 minutes is a long time for me swooshing spit with oil around 😅

I'm just starting with castor oil. I have mature skin, signs of aging skin, still have a little occasional acne here and there, somewhat sensitive and history of rosacea. I'm considering oil cleansing at nighttime using castor oil alone, then maybe trying rose water toning afterwards. Will this be beneficial for my complexion?

I also use castor oil on my face. I haven't noticed any hair growth consequences around the lip chin area however my eyebrows seem to be growing a lot faster and same with my lashes! I love it.

I have now used this technique for 4 weeks. After one week of 20 minutes a dental hygienist saw an improve in my gums from my last visit 4 months ago when I had a deep cleaning . I didn't do any other regimen to help with my gum issues like I was instructed prior to however I did this! It works! I look forward to future dental check ups.
