2010's look will be associated with, in my view, of the era of the heavy brow and eyes, as well as heavy contours and highlights. While darker lips are still around, the typical trend is a more nudey, neutral matt lip. So yeah, I think it's all about the heavy eyes and brows right now.

I'd love to say that the most memorable makeup trend of the 2010's will be the "natural" or "no makeup" look: dewy, glowing skin with that healthy sheen, a hint of sun kissed warmth, subtle wash of color on the eyes. We have more options now than ever, such a wide variety of high quality products at all price points with incredible textures that blend so seemlessly with the skin. It's the best time ever to achieve and celebrate that youthful, natural, yet polished "I woke up looking this fresh and healthy" no makeup look.

But alas, that look is not as extreme, which is why I fear the most memorable trend of the 2010's will be Instagram/drag makeup: full-coverage matte foundation with heavy contour and crazy alien highlighting. Perfectly drawn on lips, and super intense ombred brows. You know, every single area of the face being made to look "flawless" and "airbrushed" before the photo is posted to Instagram where it is then enhanced and actually airbrushed. Not a trace of humanness left! Ugh.

2010s Defining makeup trends heavy a$$ contouring, 'baking', nude shadows. And on the opposite end of the spectrum we have 'No makeup' Makeup which still somehow manages to comprise at least 1000 steps…
