I do have a question for you. I started using the Tretinoin .05% cream for barely one week now. I did make a few mistakes at the beginning by using it every night and slathering on WAY too much the first night, exfoliating the next (along with using the tretinoin), AND using another product with salicylic acid. I also put the product all over my face, including near to my nose and my mouth. Big no no. I did not do all of my research when I got the product, but now I know.

I am 26 years old and I typically have combination to oily, acne prone skin before using this. My acne isn't bad anymore, it's more of just a pimple or two on my chin and my neck. I also care about fighting aging and wrinkles, so I thought this product would be perfect for me. Anyway, I cut my usage back to every other night because I really want my skin to get acclimated. My first reactions after making my mistakes using this product was I got dry patches around my mouth and the sides of my nose were dry. The rest of my face has been pretty much fine. But as of today, about 5-6 days after using it, my skin is all of a sudden MUCH more oily than normal. Is this worrisome??

I used retin A from my early 20's for acne when it was first on the market. I continued to use it until about age 50 then suddenly I had horrible facial dermatitis from it. Some skin reactions can start later in life. I was using the weakest cream formulation and it caused the rash even if I halved the potency with a high quality moisturizer. It really does work & I wish I could continue to use it.

I’ve only put it on 3 times in 3 weeks and peeled first time…around my nose and lower chin were sensitive areas…everywhere else was nothing…I’m hoping it gets better…

Angie, just received Retin-A and am going to start slowly per your advice/experience. One question for you or other knowledgeable folks: in starting out 1 night a week and slowly building up, did you use any other OTC Retinol products on the "off" nights? Or was it solely the Retin-A the whole week? Thanks so much!

Hi Angie, Ive been using roc products because I jusy can't tolerate prescription tretoin, and I think they are really good. I know its very small amount of retinol but hey its better than none at all and its very tolerable for me so I don't miss a night, what do you think Angie?..thanks a bunch.😄

Would love to see you do a video on Dermalogica skin care. I’m your age, but I have dry, dehydrated skin after decades of oily, acne-prone skin. I think my skin is in good shape because of being oily forever.

Hi! I am using retin A just 1 week ago. I HAVE SKIN PEELING. it's not so burning. Bt at morning when I use sunscreen, it feels like burning. I use rosehip seed oil after 30 min of using retin A. Is it OK or should I stop retin A for some times??
    Plz do reply…

New follower here, very grateful to have found you! I’m in my early 40’s but have found your researched advice to be very helpful and spot on. Currently using CeraVe’s products about a month now and loving the results, also took my son’s retin a prescription 0.1% cream that burns his skin after watching this vid and have tried it on mine per your recommendations and seen great improvement! Flakes are worth the results, as far as texture is concerned. Just ordered curology using your link. Thanks Angie, you are gorgeous!

I just want to say that I really enjoy your channel, videos, & the helpful information you give. Although I’m not in my 50’s, you give great advice and information on skincare on a whole. Im over here using anti-aging products and trying to stay glowing, too! Lol. I stumbled upon your channel awhile back because of a YouTube recommendation, and I’ve been watching ever since. Keep up the great work! You are beautiful and have such great energy! ✨❤️🙌🏾 Thank you! 😘

I wish I could continue to use retin a, it really has helped my acne, but I got chronic eye inflammation and calcifications from it so such a bummer! 😭

I love your videos, so helpful! This is what I have been looking for. Sadly, when I checked into Curology, they do not ship to Canada. 🙁 But I am making notes and going to start trying many of the other items in your skincare retinue. Thank you for sharing all of this info. The retinol/retin-a is a lifesaver.

Great advice! I started using Retin A about 10 years ago, unfortunately, I didn't stick with it because I did not moisturize and I used it incorrectly (too much product, no sunscreen). So much irritation!! It was horrible. Recently, I have been researching again and I feel I have so much more knowledge than my previous experience. I have just started using Retin A (0.025%) again, but only every 5 days and with PLENTY of moisturizing products on board. Also, with sunscreen (45spf) in use everyday and reapplying on days that I am exposed to a lot of sun (inside or out)! I'm about to do my 3rd dose tomorrow night. I've had some flaking & stinging, but so much different than before. I can actually stick with it this time. Thank you, Angie, for this video!
